Golfo de Am\u00e9rica: Google gana batalla legal a M\u00e9xico"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La controversia por el cambio de nombre en Google Maps enfrenta posturas entre el Gobierno mexicano y plataformas digitales<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Redacci\u00f3n Informante<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un juez federal en M\u00e9xico desech\u00f3 la demanda interpuesta por el Gobierno federal en contra de&nbsp;<strong>Google<\/strong>&nbsp;por mostrar la denominaci\u00f3n&nbsp;<strong>\u201cGolfo de Am\u00e9rica\u201d en lugar de \u201cGolfo de M\u00e9xico\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;en su plataforma&nbsp;<strong>Google Maps<\/strong>, al consultarse desde servidores ubicados en&nbsp;<strong>Estados Unidos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Demanda del Gobierno mexicano contra Google por modificar el nombre del Golfo de M\u00e9xico<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La&nbsp;<strong>Consejer\u00eda Jur\u00eddica del Ejecutivo Federal (CJEF)<\/strong>&nbsp;present\u00f3 la querella el pasado 4 de marzo contra&nbsp;<strong>Google Operaciones de M\u00e9xico S. de R.L.<\/strong>, argumentando que la empresa viol\u00f3 la legislaci\u00f3n mexicana y diversos tratados internacionales al modificar la&nbsp;<strong>denominaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica<\/strong>&nbsp;en su servicio de mapas y en&nbsp;<strong>Google Earth<\/strong>, adoptando el t\u00e9rmino impulsado durante el mandato del expresidente&nbsp;<strong>Donald Trump<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre las exigencias del Gobierno de M\u00e9xico se inclu\u00eda una&nbsp;<strong>compensaci\u00f3n por da\u00f1o moral<\/strong>, da\u00f1os punitivos y perjuicios, as\u00ed como una&nbsp;<strong>aclaraci\u00f3n p\u00fablica<\/strong>&nbsp;por parte de Google, especificando que el t\u00e9rmino \u201cGolfo de Am\u00e9rica\u201d \u00fanicamente se refer\u00eda a la&nbsp;<strong>plataforma continental de Estados Unidos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.ejecentral.com.mx\/dims4\/default\/5ef6b4a\/2147483647\/strip\/true\/crop\/1200x800+0+0\/resize\/2160x1440!\/quality\/90\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fk3-prod-ejecentral.s3.us-west-2.amazonaws.com%2Fbrightspot%2F7f%2F0e%2F5f3f0a3e4bfaaa4fbf3ffce322dd%2Fsheinbaum-defiende-nombre-del-golfo-de-mexico.jpeg\" alt=\"Sheinbaum defiende nombre del Golfo de M\u00e9xico.jpeg\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">La presidenta Sheinbaum responde a Donald Trump y defiende nombre del Golfo de M\u00e9xico \/ Especial<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fallo del juez: la justicia federal no es competente<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El 6 de marzo, el juez&nbsp;<strong>Eduardo Le\u00f3n Sandoval<\/strong>, titular del&nbsp;<strong>Juzgado D\u00e9cimo Segundo de Distrito en Materia Civil<\/strong>, resolvi\u00f3 que el caso&nbsp;<strong>no era competencia de la justicia federal<\/strong>, ya que no implicaba una afectaci\u00f3n directa a bienes nacionales ni al territorio soberano del pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cSe trata de una variante unilateral de informaci\u00f3n que no despoja al Estado de sus bienes\u201d, estableci\u00f3 el juez en su resoluci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>La decisi\u00f3n dej\u00f3 a la CJEF la posibilidad de&nbsp;<strong>apelar antes del 17 de marzo<\/strong>. Sin embargo, al no hacerlo, el fallo qued\u00f3 firme y definitivo. Como siguiente paso, el Gobierno mexicano podr\u00eda optar por&nbsp;<strong>presentar la demanda en un juzgado civil<\/strong>&nbsp;del&nbsp;<strong>Tribunal Superior de Justicia de la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Visualizaci\u00f3n del nombre seg\u00fan la ubicaci\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica del usuario<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El cambio en&nbsp;<strong>Google Maps<\/strong>&nbsp;obedece a una actualizaci\u00f3n del&nbsp;<strong>Sistema de Informaci\u00f3n de Nombres Geogr\u00e1ficos de Estados Unidos<\/strong>, que modific\u00f3 la nomenclatura en sus registros oficiales. Google cambi\u00f3 el 10 de febrero de 2025 el nombre del Golfo de M\u00e9xico a \u201cGolfo de Am\u00e9rica\u201d para quienes utilizan su plataforma Maps dentro de Estados Unidos, cumpliendo una orden ejecutiva del presidente Donald Trump. \/ ALFREDO ESTRELLA\/AFP<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Apple tambi\u00e9n adopta la nueva denominaci\u00f3n en su app Maps<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Al igual que Google,&nbsp;<strong>Apple<\/strong>&nbsp;tambi\u00e9n adopt\u00f3 el nuevo t\u00e9rmino tras la actualizaci\u00f3n del sistema geogr\u00e1fico estadounidense. Sin embargo, Apple&nbsp;<strong>mantiene la visualizaci\u00f3n de \u201cGolfo de Am\u00e9rica\u201d incluso fuera del territorio estadounidense<\/strong>, lo que ha generado reacciones entre usuarios y autoridades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Otras plataformas mantienen el nombre original del Golfo de M\u00e9xico<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>La controversia ha generado&nbsp;<strong>diversidad de criterios entre plataformas digitales<\/strong>.
