Este virus respiratorio ha generado alarma, especialmente tras registrarse un aumento significativo de casos en\u00a0<strong>China\u00a0<\/strong>y reportes de\u00a0contagios en otros pa\u00edses.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En\u00a0M\u00e9xico, el estado de Nuevo Le\u00f3n ha confirmado dos casos de infecci\u00f3n, mientras que Tamaulipas investiga un caso sospechoso. La preocupaci\u00f3n es comprensible, pero las autoridades sanitarias buscan tranquilizar a la poblaci\u00f3n y ofrecer informaci\u00f3n clara para prevenir posibles contagios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El anuncio de los&nbsp;<strong>casos confirmados en Nuevo Le\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 durante la semana epidemiol\u00f3gica 47 de 2024<\/strong>. Personal de salud ya tiene conocimiento del virus, pero a\u00fan estamos en proceso de determinar si efectivamente se trata de un caso confirmado de metapneumovirus\u201d, declar\u00f3 D\u00edaz Barrios.&nbsp;<strong>La funcionaria tambi\u00e9n inst\u00f3 a la poblaci\u00f3n a retomar el uso de cubrebocas y evitar espacios cerrados, subrayando la naturaleza altamente contagiosa del HMPV.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ante el incremento de la preocupaci\u00f3n p\u00fablica, la titular de la Secretar\u00eda de Salud de Nuevo Le\u00f3n, Alma Rosa Marroqu\u00edn Escamilla, afirm\u00f3 que no hay raz\u00f3n para alarmarse.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seg\u00fan Marroqu\u00edn, el HMPV no es un virus nuevo y, aunque su presencia aumenta durante el invierno, no representa un riesgo adicional de salud para los mexicanos. La funcionaria subray\u00f3 que las personas m\u00e1s vulnerables a esta enfermedad son los ni\u00f1os, los adultos mayores y quienes tienen sistemas inmunol\u00f3gicos comprometidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recomendaciones para prevenir el contagio<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Para reducir el riesgo de infecci\u00f3n por HMPV y otras enfermedades respiratorias, las autoridades recomiendan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Realizar estornudos de etiqueta (cubriendo nariz y boca con el antebrazo).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limpiar superficies potencialmente contaminadas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evitar cambios bruscos de temperatura.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Abrigarse adecuadamente.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mantener una alimentaci\u00f3n balanceada rica en vitaminas A, C y D.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vacunarse contra virus como Influenza, Covid-19 y Neumococo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, Marroqu\u00edn Escamilla destac\u00f3 la importancia de proteger a los grupos de riesgo, como ni\u00f1os menores de seis meses y mujeres embarazadas. Enfatiz\u00f3 que las campa\u00f1as de vacunaci\u00f3n son una estrategia clave para prevenir complicaciones relacionadas con enfermedades respiratorias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalmente, se record\u00f3 a la poblaci\u00f3n seguir las recomendaciones de Protecci\u00f3n Civil, ya que las bajas temperaturas propias del invierno pueden agravar las afecciones respiratorias y provocar incidentes relacionados con el clima.
