Hay que \u00abcambiar la desigualdad estructural que nos hace vulnerables a la violencia\u00bb, aseguran expertas.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Redacci\u00f3n Informante<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cada d\u00eda son asesinadas al menos 11 mujeres por razones de g\u00e9nero en Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe. As\u00ed lo indican las cifras proporcionadas por la CEPAL para el \u00faltimo a\u00f1o.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abEl\u00a0feminicidio\u00a0sigue presente en la regi\u00f3n y es la expresi\u00f3n extrema de los\u00a0patrones patriarcales\u00a0y violentos\u201d, consigna, junto con las alarmantes cifras, el informe recientemente publicado por el\u00a0Observatorio de Igualdad de G\u00e9nero de Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribedel organismo regional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Su recomendaci\u00f3n: \u00abActuar<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>con sentido de urgencia para prevenir y poner fin a los feminicidios\u201d en la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abLa tendencia sigue manteni\u00e9ndose: no se logra frenar el feminicidio\u201d, constata Leticia Bonifaz, relatora para Am\u00e9rica Latina del\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ohchr.org\/es\/instruments-mechanisms\/instruments\/convention-elimination-all-forms-discrimination-against-women\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Comit\u00e9 para la Eliminaci\u00f3n de la Discriminaci\u00f3n contra la Mujer de Naciones Unidas (CEDAW, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s).<\/a>\u00a0Ninguno de los pa\u00edses ha llegado al punto de saber \u00abas\u00ed se empieza a revertir el asunto\u201d, grafica cr\u00edtica la experta en entrevista.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00ab\u00bfEn qu\u00e9 pa\u00edses la situaci\u00f3n es m\u00e1s preocupante?\u201d \u00abEn mi pa\u00eds, M\u00e9xico, y en Argentina, donde&nbsp;con el cambio pol\u00edtico se le est\u00e1 dando menos atenci\u00f3n a la tem\u00e1tica\u201d, indica la abogada nacida en Chiapas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bfAlgunas luces en medio del acuciante panorama regional? \u00abUruguay es de los pa\u00edses &#8216;de privilegio&#8217;&nbsp;en nuestro continente\u201d, destaca la profesional. \u00abY Chile ha tenido avances en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os\u201d, agrega. \u00abOjal\u00e1 logr\u00e1ramos que estos modelos permearan en toda la regi\u00f3n\u201d, apunta la experta.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Un necesario cambio cultural<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahora bien, \u00bfcu\u00e1les son las causas sobre las que se asienta esta persistente situaci\u00f3n?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abLa violencia contra las mujeres no cesa porque a\u00fan no se logra el definitivo cambio cultural que nos iguale\u201d, analiza al respecto Silvina Molina, periodista argentina especializada en g\u00e9nero. \u00abMientras haya hombres que se crean con derecho a maltratar y matar mujeres, la violencia no cesar\u00e1\u201d, asegura a&nbsp;DW la tambi\u00e9n integrante de la&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/generored?lang=de\">Red de Editoras de G\u00e9nero<\/a>&nbsp;del pa\u00eds sudamericano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lo cultural tambi\u00e9n apunta en sus reflexiones la soci\u00f3loga peruana Liz Mel\u00e9ndez, directora ejecutiva del\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.flora.org.pe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centro de la Mujer Peruana Flora Trist\u00e1n<\/a>: \u00abHay una cierta tolerancia a formas de violencia que se invisibilizan, e incluso cierta culpabilizaci\u00f3n de\u00a0las v\u00edctimas por sus propias tragedias, como si las mujeres no debi\u00e9ramos hacer tal o cual cosa, o tuvi\u00e9ramos que ser nosotras las que nos tenemos que cuidar de no sufrir violencia\u201d, reprueba en di\u00e1logo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abCreo que la violencia es una herramienta para mantener el lugar de subordinaci\u00f3n de las mujeres en la sociedad\u201d, sostiene, por su parte, la\u00a0feminista\u00a0colombiana Catalina Ruiz Navarro, directora de la revista feminista latinoamericana\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/volcanicas.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Volc\u00e1nicas.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abTodos los seres humanos somos capaces de violencia\u201d, afirma la comunicadora. \u00abLa raz\u00f3n por la cual la violencia contra las mujeres es estructural, es porque hay una desigualdad estructural\u201d, contin\u00faa su razonamiento. \u00abSi no se atiende esa desigualdad, que es lo que nos hace vulnerables a la violencia, nos quedamos en la reacci\u00f3n, lo cual es necesario, pero no resuelve el problema\u201d, advierte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tareas pendientes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abLa desigualdad es el germen de la violencia y los feminicidios\u201d, condensa\u00a0en el mismo sentido\u00a0Molina, desde la capital argentina. \u00abSon necesarias pol\u00edticas p\u00fablicas para que esto no ocurra\u201d, afirma la experta. \u00abTambi\u00e9n es necesario que\u00a0los hombres se involucren,\u00a0que se manifiesten contra la violencia, que hablen entre ellos, que creen sus propios espacios para revisar conductas y colaborar en el freno de la violencia\u201d, propone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abEs una responsabilidad colectiva de los Estados, de los movimientos, de las personas, de la sociedad\u201d, entiende tambi\u00e9n Ruiz Navarro. \u00abHay que cambiar desigualdades estructurales: las mujeres tenemos que tener acceso a la vivienda, a salarios justos, a tener autonom\u00eda e independencia econ\u00f3mica, y a llegar a puestos de decisi\u00f3n\u201d, puntualiza.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abLa forma de atender mejor la violencia contra las mujeres es la prevenci\u00f3n\u201d, asegura, por su parte, Bonifaz. \u00abNo se le puede apostar todo al derecho, a una previsi\u00f3n legislativa, a aumentar las sanciones, porque en la mayor\u00eda de los pa\u00edses de Am\u00e9rica Latina tenemos alt\u00edsimos m\u00e1rgenes de impunidad\u201d, sostiene la abogada, con conocimiento de causa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abEl derecho tiene que ir acompa\u00f1ado de medidas de car\u00e1cter econ\u00f3mico, social, y, por supuesto, de decisiones pol\u00edticas\u201d, indica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abNecesitamos mucha m\u00e1s voluntad pol\u00edtica de los gobiernos de nuestros pa\u00edses para que se cumplan las recomendaciones que ha hecho reiteradamente CEDAW, y seguir trabajando para cambiar esta cultura patriarcal que tiene al machismo como una de sus grandes expresiones\u201d, asegura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De lo contrario, \u00abmientras esto se siga repitiendo como un modelo v\u00e1lido, las mujeres seguiremos pagando las consecuencias\u201d, concluye sin eufemismos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"
